For some reason, the copy of Q3 I downloaded at work and burned to a CD didn't work. That was my plan for updating everything on my new PC, download with the fast connect at work and then write to a CD. Saved my days of downloading at 56K. I'll have to try again later this week and then come looking for Slicer <grin>.

I spent a little time yesterday reading different websites. For all the maoning about TnT having 32-bit graphics, the only playable speeds seem to be 640x400 and TnT2's don't seem to be much better.

In some ways I hope that 3dfx has not spent too much time on OpenGL drivers for Quake3 and ignored a more mainstream set. I really doubt that I'll buy Quake3 as I'm not really into death matchs. I don't think that Quake3 will be as successful as Quake2 for that reason, there are only so many people who want to play online.
