I sent this e-mail to Mercury, for all the good it will do:

Hi,

I have a question about your TNT2 Ultra 3D scores. Where did you get a 200 MHz TNT2 Ultra2? They only ship as a 150MHz core/175MHz memory configuration. Check it out from the Diamond press release:

quicken.com

Did you overclock the TNT2 to get the performance results? Even though there's no guarantee or warranty that each individual card will be able to achieve more than a 150/175 setting? Why didn't you overclock any of the competition's boards as well? There's many reports that the Voodoo3 3000 runs great at 183 MHz.

I'm just curious about your testing methodology. Is it OK to overclock a board as long as the official driver from the company has an overclocking slider? Did Diamond and Nvidia give you the boards clocked at that speed, even though there is no shipping card at 175/200MHz?

Something doesn't seem right here and I think to ensure Mercury's continued credibility you should post an explanation on the 200MHz TNT2Ultra issue.
