My reason for buying....

I've already bought and sold SILK about five times since they went public and made about $5,000 plus or minus a thousand.

I'm now holding 1000 shares long at around $26 and won't sell til it hits $80.00. That's right $80.00.

I like SILK because....

- CMGI
- Customer Service apps are BIG now and getting BIGGER.
- I hear them mentioned in many of my accounts.
- Every time they announce a new customer we should get a pop.
- I like software over services on the net. Services will be having major problems differentiating themselves soon - real soon! The net has fragmented beyond the justification for these companies valuations. Even AOL isn't worth what it's market cap suggests.

I compare them to VIGN. VIGN will be a major player in personalization software and SILK will be big in customer sevice.

Basically, every site needs the following....

- web server
- application server
- ECommerce Software (with EDI gateway)
- Customer Service Software
- EBPP software
- Personalization software
- an email server
- an LDAP directory
- a database
