OK I have just put down the phone. My friend had a quick chat and came up with the following: Altris has gone awfully quiet on the marketing lately - not appearing at the major shows etc etc He does not believe the product has been released here yet and they are suffering from last years bad press. They have good penetration in Engineering but little in the two main UK markets Finance and CentralGovt. They have major competition from Cimage in Engineering, whilst Filenet, Documentum, IBM and Tower Technology dominate finance and government. Tower are apparently the hot shots at the moment here in the UK. The quote was 'Altris have disappeared from the radar in the UK' Given the squeeze on marketing budgets that is understandable. So there you go some facts and opinions, albeit from a consulting crowd. Bye for now.
