I agree that sometimes moving on is the right thing to do. However, let's be clear that in the case of 3Com, that's not "growing." That's pure waste. You don't go around spending billions of dollars of shareholders' money on US Robotics and then two years later announce that it's a dead investment. Usually, heads roll for those sorts of lousy decisions.
