Caxton - Were you just perusing through the bankruptcy files after dinner? Nice find.

I don't quite get the last line in the report though that the court still needs to think of what kind of remedy to take. Why not just make'em pay the extra $400 m as you suggest. Anyway, what was the Q's ownership. When Nextwave when backrupt we were all glad that the Q was only exposed to the extent of $20 million equity - though the forgone sales to the infra group is partly why that group got into trouble. Is the Q's $20 million equity translatable into a substantial percentage of the equity? I wonder if MCI is still obligated to buy its x?? billion minutes? Tom

Ok, so I read the 50 page court document, but I don't understand a few things here.

First, are they able to buy the lic back according to this for $908M or for $1021M? Not clear in the last page.

Second, didn't Qualcomm write down the share in Nextwave and basically release it? If they still own it and Nextwave becomes viable again, wouldn't that add back the charge they already took? Perhaps they would add another $200M or so to protect the first investment if Nextwave is able to purchase the lic...

Anyone have more insight into the Bankruptcy rules?
