Kemble,

Re: Hey buddy....did we expect DELL not to conquer CPQ?? No question that this comment will be accurate...anytime there is a transition there is a problem...all we have to do is look at education and find this... :o)

I can remember seeing MSD being interviewed on TV after CPQ acquired DEC. Michaels responce (~) with broad smile.....'Well they seem to have handed us a huge gift'!....Now we all know what he meant, and that once again, he was right!

Never bet against DELL!!....(where have I heard that)<G>

Kemble, more fun Dell reading!

news.com

Dell added that he believed his company will perform well when broadband access becomes more popular. Buyers in the future can type in their zip code in Dell's Web site and immediately be told what type of modem--DSL or cable--works for their neighborhood.

Kemble RE: The following from John Rosser's post earlier today:

<<Last year, at Dell's shareholder meeting, Kemble mentioned to several of us that he had heard, thru his impeccable sources, that MD and management were keen on splitting the stock 5 times in the next 5 years.>>

Was this quote accurate? If so, then WOW!!!!

Best,

Duncan
