Suppose Taiwan doesn't see it that way ?

Do you live in China ?

Yowu,

Who wrote the contract that states the Chinese Communists have the deed to Taiwan??

The US and China were allies against Japanese aggression during WWII. Unfortunately, Chiang Kai-Shek was a megalo-maniac with visions of absolute personal power over China, while the Communists who survived the Long March were revelutionary totalitarians who believed in exporting their revolution around the world (or at least throughout SE Asia, and perhaps Peru).

Bejing has no more right to Taiwan than they do to Tibet.

Only when the Taiwanese have some guarantee that their democracy will be preserved can Bejing expect to find support for re-unification efforts.

Why is it that the Taiwanese distrust Bejing so? If your government and people can't win over the trust of the Taiwanese peacefully, I'll be damned if I support or tolerate an aggression by the Communists that would destabilize the entire region. Chinese aren't the only people who want to preserve stability and the international order in Asia.

Again, I appreciate your responses.

Regards,

Ron

<<Don't play dumb. Taiwan BELONGS TO CHINA. AND IT WILL REUNITE WITH THE MAINLAND. HOPE THE US IS SMART ENOUGH AND DOES NOT MESS UP WITH CHINA.>>

Im sure the Taiwanese appreciate that sentiment...

China can mess itself up all by itself. The Asian economies will run into trouble again since they're all using the same strategy of chasing market share in US consumer markets. The US has a more equitable trade relationship with the Middle East, the American hemisphere, and the Europeans.
