Kerry and eric,

I think the issue of relationship factors was touched on by Ken H. He addressed it during the Q & A when asked about the recent developments with HP and EMC. He confirmed that there was an Ancor switch in the HP demo at N + I, but emphasized that you should not make inferences from this and that HP and EMC were opportunities (I can't recall if he used the adjective "good" before opportunities or not).

On the issues of competitiveness, I think he talked about it at multiple levels. He discussed how the Board has been revamped to include engineering and IT professional - all of whom have managerial experience. When talking about the potential ramp up he talked about Pemstar and also Max Davis, the VP who was specifically hired to oversee this job. He stated the SI valley sales office was there specifically to attend to the needs of potential OEM customers there. He mentioned the engineering team as second to none, with nine years experience working together as a team. He believes they have the technology advantage and that it can be maintained. He qualified this by saying that they did not know what the new Brocade switch would be like. The time frame for the new Ancor switch was not mentioned. Cal Nelson said that data integrity is more critical on the 2Gb switch and that they would need to deal with new suppliers on that switch. He said they has a person in the engineering team who was very good with regard to data integrity. His presentation of needing to provide the necessary migration path for most customers and having a switch engineered above that level was very plausible and reminded me of several discussions we have had on this thread over the years. The fact that their SAN installations are cascaded switches also speaks to this - apparently nobody has the data requirements for multistaged switches yet and all of the fabrics we are hearing about are variations of cascades. I say that because Ken H. mentioned that there was "no single point of failure" in the Ancor installations and to me that means some level of cross connect above a cascade, but less than multistage. I would also refer back to the recent conference call on the competitiveness issue which I commented on at that time.

I think there is a definite emphasis on competitiveness and customer service.

With regard to the "30 - 50%" quote from Ken, my impression is that it is the percentage of the total switch market that they expect to win. I think he actually ran the numbers from the IDC projection using the percentages.

All of these statements occurred after the initial disclaimer on "forward looking statements" and referring everyone to the prospectus for a discussion of the risk factors.

Ron and Greg will hopefully correct me if I am confabulating.

George

Eric, I think Ancor's recent success in winning OEM's speaks for itself. On the engineering side they have built a better product at a better price than Brocade. Pasqua is doing a great job running the sales team. They are winning more OEM's than Brocade over the last 9 months. wj

To all who attended the meeting...Thank you for your due diligence...
This board would not exist with out the support of all involved...It nice to know that there are those out there, that will spent the time to inform the flock...Was there any mention to Nasdq listing or a time frame that could be expected...
