While the capability for interactivity may exist, the willingness of the participants may be decidedly limited. Manipulation of the news by "spin doctors" will wither and disappear in the face of real time, informed questioning. Witness the demise of the Nixon administration over Woodward's investigative reporting and imagine the dismay of the White House Press Secretary having thousands of equivalents, all interactive!
