I have no idea what is going on with this Cox report fiasco. Any comments?

WSJ:

Cox Report Stonewall?

One worry we had in the aftermath of President Clinton's Senate impeachment trial was that some would conclude that as a matter of policy, stonewalling and obfuscation work, or at least ensure political survival. The Administration has taken three months to approve release of the declassified version of the Cox committee report on Chinese espionage. Now the report's scheduled release is being delayed yet again. Yesterday, Senators were to get a secret briefing from Rep. Cox and Norm Dicks, the ranking Democrat on the select committee. But Democratic Senate leaders told Rep. Dicks he shouldn't participate, even though he and Rep. Cox had previously given six bipartisan briefings on the Hill. The meeting was canceled and may or may not take place next week. We hope Democrats aren't continuing to run blind interference for the Clinton White House on the espionage and Johnny Chung scandals. If this scandal ever blows up, the stonewalling Democrats would be hard put to survive the fallout.
