QCharts is working great for me. I didn't realize it's so easy to get started.

Just one question, is it possible to associate each workspace with
a particular window size so that each time when I switch workspace I don't need to resize the window to fit the new workspace?

The reason for this is that I like to keep my windows as compact as possible so I can see the other programs that I am running.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dan,

Is this StockScanner a commercial program? If so, would you give us the URL please.

Still looking forward to Net Trader...any news?

Thanks :)

Dan, the problem with TAL is NOT receiving the data, but in actually charting it. Their drawing code appears to be awful, though I have some evidence that they've improved it recently.

I've written my own software for use with TAL that's able to suck a full NASDAQ feed off of the server with no trouble (no server backlogs). You do have to "pace" requests (not advises) so that you don't ask for too much at once, though. (Requests are for initial data. Advises ask for updates on any change.)

My software is simple. It's basically just a list view that lets you have VERY large lists. RT3 itself can't handle more than 500 symbols. Scammer ( stockclub.com ) handles the 5000+ NASDAQ symbols, and I've run it with NASDAQ + BB as well. I haven't actually tried NASDAQ + BB + AMEX + NYSE yet. :)

My impression of RT3/TAL is that the network side (server and retreival part of the client) of it is actually pretty good, but the charting/display part is kinda slow. I don't know if they do compression like QFeed does. I know that they didn't used to, but they do bury the transmission under the API, so they could have added compression recently. (I haven't viewed the packets lately.)
