There is a lot of big news buried in that 'advisory,' including (1) Release of upgraded software for the IDT product that allows enrollment of up to four fingers; indifference to finger angle placement (apparently matching Digital Persona U are U feature); convenient file encryption options; use of a fingerprint as a digital signature in a digital certificate via a GEMPLUS card (think Verisign); and, "Identicator biometric software solution running on Novell's NetWare 4.x and 5 network operating systems." Not only is IDT software standardized on Mastercard's Multos, it is now standardized on Novell's Netware. We are becoming the industry standard for biometric algorithms . . . just where we want to be. Kind of a casual, throwaway press advisory, but maybe IDT figured if they could show off their new stuff to the trade at CTST, they may be able to let investors know about it, too.
