That's a good one. I hadn't thought of it that way <g> BTW, one of the biggest problems that I've seen about the way the government is organized both in Canada and in US, is lack of clarity between regional interests and the Federal (national) interests. This I've gathered is because the countries were formed as unions of smaller pieces and as such, at the time of joining each region wanted to make sure that its interests will be met. In the Capital national issues are debated by people who rely on regional votes for re-election. The whole structure undermines the national interest in favor of regional ones. O'well, I guess nothing is perfect in this world.
