i agree with you brian...if ibm had played its cards right, it would now own msft, intc AND dell...guess we have to give them some glory from time to time. :)

One of Gerstner's missives was to get rid of the arrogance that pervaded IBM during the Akers and Opel regimes at the sales and service level. He and his lieutenants made the company quite a bit more customer centric, so I disagree with you on your first point. As for your second point, it does not hold water either unless you believe IBM is taking the internet as lightly as it did Microsoft... I don't believe that to be the case.
