I cut&pasted the link about the INTC "fab" w/o reading it. Thanks to Bob Grutza for pointing the following out:

Intel's facility in the Philippines is for test and assembly of processors. They don't process wafers there.

It's a trivial point, but just shows how crappy The Register is as a news source.


Caveat emptor....maybe we should change this to reader beware.
