Take away my Schlitz beer
When I was little (maybe 35 years ago) I saw ads that I think were for Schlitz that I still remember. This Charlie Chaplain type character would go around and do things like stick his cane into a tree, where it became a doorknob, which opened the tree into a great party. Or he would sit down and whittle a bottle, open it and pour glass after glass of beer for those walking by. They were great.

The best beer commercials (off beat to the point of surreal) were for Rainer.

In the 1970's. When Rainier was bought out, the corporate honchos couldn't understand what they had and totally messed it up. Best one (do some of you remember any of the others?)...

Picture of a lonely highway, with a majestic Mount Rainier in the background. Motorcycle approaching. Only sound (half way between a motorcycle whine and a voice.

"Raiiiiiiiiinnnneeeerrrr ..... Beeeeeeer....."

You have to imagine the Doppler shifting for yourself between the two words as the motorcycle passes the camera.
