Considering the blood in rest of the net.. CMGI handled it pretty well.. I hope it bounces back tomorrow.. along with the rest... we sure do need it. (whew!)

CMGI (CMGI:Nasdaq), which invests in Internet companies, has entered into a strategic alliance with Gateway (GTW:NYSE). Gateway will invest $200 million for an ownership stake in CMGI, joining Microsoft (MSFT:Nasdaq) and Intel (INTC:Nasdaq), which hold minority positions in the company. Gateway and CMGI will seek out collaborative business and investment opportunities on the Internet.

kcmike,

I do understand the fundamentals of a stock split, however, the way the CMGI site had it worded had me questioning.

ANDOVER, MA — March 17, 1999 — CMGI, Inc. (Nasdaq: CMGI) today announced that the Company's Board of Directors has approved a two-for-one common stock split. The stock split is subject to the approval of CMGI shareholders, who must approve an amendment to the Company's Certificate of Incorporation to increase the Company's authorized Common Stock, permitting consummation of this split. Subject to such approval, shareholders will receive one additional common share for every share held on the record date of May 13, 1999

We still are scheduled to split on the 27th correct?

Regards,

Steve
