Intel behaves as it wants to behave - completely controls its own destiny (that is as much as any company can). LSI beat estimates and will continue to do so I believe. Any pullback will be an excellent opportunity to buy. We're in a cyclical upturn for chip stocks and LSI is beautifully positioned. I have a core holding and also plan to trade additional shares on dips. I'm not worried. People still don't really believe the chip stocks are out of the woods yet but they are and I also particularily like the fact that the cyclicals are coming into favor as chip stocks are cyclical. At this point we have 2 things going for us which are very powerful: 1. Many of the chip companies have just come through the worst downturn in many, many years. As a result they have streamlined operations so that when the turnaround comes, margins should expand nicely. 2. World is recovering so demand, which wasn't the main culprit in the last downturn (prices were), should even be better than normal. Many believe the bottom was reached last Fall. Chip stocks have recovered a great deal since then but it was from a very depressed base. If what has happened in the past in similar situations happens again, prices will be much, much higher over the next few years. I have waited for this since 1996 - I was a little early in 1998 but believe it's for real now. All my opinion but there have been analysts also saying that its a good time for the chips.
