Any experience with DirecPC out there?? I'm considering 144k DSL which uploads and downloads at that speed for $109 per month vs. 400k DirecPC download for $34 per month plus the cost of the dish to install. What scares me about the DirecPC satellite setup is uploads go through your regular modem at 56k. Downloads are supposed to scream at 400k. Do any of you techy's know how much uploading happens when you click the submit button on a form as in the case when applying for IPO's. How much uploading is going on there? 400k download sounds great but not is the bottleneck is sending data back up to etrade. It takes me about 3 minutes to get through all the pages. Which solution would buy me 2 of those minutes back?
