OT -- This news brings to my mind memories of mad scientists in the '30s and '40s B movies. Who knows, may be this line of work will eventually bring about the missing link to the next leg of evolution (of course that would remove us from the top of the food chain <g>). dailynews.yahoo.com

A city-slicker from Sydney decides to give the rat race up and moves to a sheep farming community in the outback. He loves the life there but soon finds that there is a distinct shortage of women in this rugged part of the country. To his surprise the local males were quite open about the fact that they used the local sheep population to ease their fustrations. They were even quite often seen bringing sheep to social functions as their date.

The city guy was not sure how he felt about that at first but after 6 months of involuntary abstinance he decides to give it a go. So, one Friday night he resolved to get a 'date' of his own for that dance that night.

After work he went to a nearby paddock and picked out a gentle looking sheep. He took it home, cleaned it up a bit and put a nice pink bow on it's woolly head. (This is starting to turn ME on)

Finally they were ready and he took his date into town and boldly walked into the dance hall. The rowdy room went suddenly dead silent and everyone looked at him in horror.

"What? What?!" exclaimed the city guy. "You all do it. What's wrong with me doing it?"

One of the locals stood up, looked at him with fear and condemnation in his eyes and said, "Yeah, but that's the Sheriff's girl."
