Threatening not to use PWs brokerage services is not much of a threat. Who uses them anyway???

No Frank Michael Dell didn't give any warning, matter of fact he told analysts to stick with their estimates if I am not mistaken.

Michael Dell has been very bullish lately, as always. Therefore, he and Dell will be no less bullish on Tuesday. Michael Dell has been right for many years. Dell has done very well in earnings, revenues, execution and ratings of its computers and its stock and in performance of its stock for years. Therefore, Dell should have very good numbers Tuesday and very good projections for the future. Michael Dell and Dell have excellent credibility. So, what they say on Tuesday will be believed. So, why would someone who is and has been bullish on Dell be concerned from now until Tuesday? Why would they spend Spring days reading this board or posting to it?

Frank,

FWIW...NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING has changed about DELL. It has the same management, the same product and the same process. If anything can be said it is that the company matures a little more every year.

Personally I am sticking with Dell. I am intrigued with Dell's request to increase the number of shares. I believe there is something positive brewing and anyone holding the stock at the right time will be rewarded.

All that being said I am also frustrated that there always seems to be a world event, an analysts remarks or a CEO (i.e. Pfeiffer, may he rest in peace)shooting off their mouth during Dell's quiet period.

Good luck in whatever your final decision is.

Tom

P.S. I'm off now to a "happy hour party"...hope everyone has a great weekend. Remember "time heals all wounds"..AND..it "wounds all heals"

Frank - this shareholder will do on Monday, and the day after earnings, that which he intends to do every day for the foreseeable future - hold this company (mainly because of it longer term prospects and its management) through thick and through thin - and pick up some more shares on dips as I thin out the high flyers - which I don't believe Dell is anymore.

It is the core holding of my portfolio, and will be for the foreseeable future.

Frank, re:<< We all know what happened with Dell after Niles. Does Paine Webber have some kind of inside information that spells trouble for shareholders? Michael Dell did not give any warning of inferior earnings and I am sure he is a bit more skilled this time around. If this company does not deliver good news on Tuesday after the bell, Dell and its founder will be forever tarnished and hated. There will be much damage assessment over this weekend and the stories will be spinning in the press over the period.>> If Dell doesn't come through as we have been lead to believe over the past few months, I'll personally see about filing a class action lawsuit. Let's not forget, there is such a thing as pre-announcing bad news. Last quarter's miss was on us, if they miss this quarter, its going to be on Dell. (Of course, our investments will get killed.)

<<I am again asking everyone after today's action what they plan to do with Dell on Monday and the day after earnings. This situation is about crisis management as we are in a potential mine field over the next couple of days.>> I'm gonna buy some poots on Monday or Tuesday, because I want to hang in through what I have heard is going to be a great report and I'm more scared of the Fed than MD. If the report ain't up to snuff Tuesday p.m., will dump all shares in the aftermarket.
