Very, very well articulated, Maurice. That branding as false science any results in opposition to a political stance is cheesy, and we all know it.

Science has become a religion because there is tangible salvation in being entertained and healed (TV and DR). People want the benefits without earning it. Freedom without responsibility.

End of speech.

More "Junk Science", aye ??
''While breastfeeding is usually considered to have overwhelming advantages, there has been concern that breastfed infants in some areas could be exceeding recommended limits of various organochlorine compounds,'' reports Daniel Smith of the Environmental Health Investigations Branch of the California Department of Health Services in Oakland.

DDT was first used in the 1940s to control typhus and agricultural pests, but its harmful effect on wildlife led to a ban in the US and many other countries in the 1970s. Today, many nations continue to use DDT to control malaria-carrying mosquitoes, Smith notes.

In his study of more than 130 published values for DDT in human milk since 1951, the researcher found that the average amount in the population has declined to about 1,000 micrograms per kilogram of milk fat, from 5,000-10,000 at their peak, in much of the world.

''Nevertheless, levels can be high in areas still using DDT, even higher than the World Health Organization's recommended limit for infants,'' Smith writes. WHO recommends that breastfed infants not consume more than 20 micrograms per kilogram of body weight of DDT, per day.

''Population average levels can clearly exceed this in regions where DDT is actively used,'' Smith notes.

Smith notes that total global use may be as great today as in the 1970s, and adds that ''even after a complete ban, DDT can still find its way into the food chain in small quantities through its persistence in the soil for years, or through imported produce.''

MW,
>>>They know in their mind about thalidomide<<<
Junk science blaming the drug and not the doctors who prescribed it after being detailed about the danger to the fetus and continues to write scrips after the UK ban for Pg. thalidomide stops rapidly growing tissue like a fetus and the drug is now being tested for cancer treatments, breast especially. Cancer is rapidly growing tissue. Science knows that T* was misused, the media knows it's the drug. Media science.
