Jack: Thanks so much for posting this site. Really give us a unique "take" on the arrangement just completed. I note particularly the dilution of our interest now. Further, if the courts do not sign off on the settlement, Spescom's interest is significantly increased. I'll have to reflect on such matters, but I do not think that Altris had any choice. The financial condition was dismal without such help.

OTOH the opportunities now presented to Altris would appear to be considerable. Spescom has a very large development and engineering team. They are financially sound. We retain the interest in the "Americas" that we need. We drop the UK overhead to a large degree. We get additional international presence and "clout".

Finally, we clearly need to see some announcement of EB sites. Without such validation soon, IMHO, our position in the marketplace will fade. Further more, suppose that chances of any take-over are much decreased by the news.

Lots to think about over this week-end. Bottom line is that we buy time to go forward. Hard to believe that Spescom would allow Altris to fail. Indeed, might we be eventually merged into Spescom completely?
