I don't know. I've never traded a BB stock. Until recently, the entire BB has been on my restricted list. However, I'm moving toward an attitude that some of the most fertile pump and dumps are on the BB, and I just might be willing to do a few well selected shorts.

I was told by the branch manager of my local office that Waterhouse required marginability before they'd allow shorting. I'm under the impression that no BB's are marginable. Of course I've been told a number of things by Waterhouse reps that weren't true. I still recall the phone monkey that insisted that one couldn't place a GTC order for a short sale. So I wouldn't be shocked if it were possible, although I would think the branch manager would be better informed than the average account rep.

Please post if you are able to get them to do it. I had intended to open an account with Yamner or DLJ Direct if I decided to go ahead with shorting some selected BBs.
