I had intended to open an account with Yamner or DLJ Direct if I decided to go ahead with shorting some selected BBs. Barb, I'd be interested to know if you have any success shorting a BB with DLJ Direct. Yesterday, I was told by the phone monkey and his manager that it was not possible because the securities have to be marginable and no BB's are marginable at DLJ Direct. It's been my experience that all information from all brokerage personnel that hasn't been confirmed with a trader is suspect, so I may well have been misinformed. If so, I'll raise the roof over there - especially if the POS I wanted to short goes down. ;-) Regards, Mark
