Rick, do you have a view of VRTX versus other alternatives in the industry at this time? A simple answer like a number on a scale of 1 (worst) to 10 (best) would be very helpful.

Nice to start off the day with a chuckle,
great post, it got me thinking--and since
I only use only about 10% of my brain, my
results and portfolio performance are truly
remarkable considering the handicap;-)

I'll have my Fidelity Select report any day
now, or I can go extract the information from
the website. I need once again to record what
these guys have held as their top picks on 4/30
and note the changes from last year etc.

Of course, my portfolio represents the most
extreme end of the 'hamstring', you might call
them quad, er, fourth tier stocks--and if these
fellas once again endeavour to talk down the sector
for summer, I'll really feel it at the so-called
junky end of the scale.

Of course, while it is true that very little money
has to come out of third tier to send it spiraling
down, hardly any money at all needs to slosh into
these cheap biotechs in order to get them going,
your Biotransplant comes to mind.

If I find a way to use the other 90% of my brain
I may be able to find a better investment than the
values in cheap biotechs, But for now though,
slogging it out in third tier with the gang here
on SI is great fun. I even survived my 2000th
post, and successfully resisted the urge to create
an alias account on SI and start daytrading internuts.

Now I hope when you referred to 'Mike' in your post
it was me, but maybe it was mike head? No matter,
I've been trying to keep a little lower profile on
the biotech threads--that signal to noise problem
you know{:-)}
