If you could do the same for Gilbert and Sullivan, I would be impressed. But Camelot is not first rate music OR lyrics. We saw this winter's production in Seattle and it was mediocre, at best. The beauty of G&S is that it's almost impossible to do it badly as long as you do it with love and spirit.

Still working on your assigned project. Since I don't have the record, I am thrown back on memory and search engines. But I'll be back....

Personally, I fell in love with the stage version with Burton as Arthur. Did you see it? All these women in the loge seats leaning so far over to get a clearer look at Goulet until Burton takes the stage, when the light seems to dim a bit on Goulet's prettiness.

I also adored Mordred's "Seven Deadly Virtues" and "Fie on Goodness."

"Take honesty, a noble sport,
An invitation to the state of rigor mort.

And purity, a noble yen
And very restful every now and then.

They say humility means to be hurt.
It is not the earth the meek inherit, it's the dirt.

Honesty is fatal; it should be taboo;
diligence is a fate I should hate.
If charity means giving, I give it to you;
and fidelity is only for your mate."
