Wayne, I disagree about Charismatic. I am rooting for him to breeze in the Belmont. It isn't his fault that the breeders don't know what they are doing and that track surfaces have changed. He is certainly the best of this lot. When I saw him going wide around the last turn, there was no doubt. He knew he could beat these horses and just kicked past them like he had another gear. Menifee's aura was dulled a bit, as he wasn't catching the leader no matter how long this race went. He barely beat Badge, which had me nervous. I didn't have Badge anywhere, but he upheld the true quality of The Wood, where he had been the favorite. And the winner of the Wood was 6th. So, the field was not a great one, but it looks to have been better than many of the other prep races.

I would also bet Vicar in a minor stakes, but I don't think he'll get a price. Too many "Ws" on that form.

This is the second year in a row where the trainer thought his other horse was better than the winner. <g>

I think the mystique of Worldly Manner is a goner. Hopefully the owner formerly known as Prince will figure it out, too. I also think we will see fewer horses in the Belmont, which means we could see Silverbulletday. Stephen didn't get even, but he redeemed himself a bit. Still, he doesn't look like a mile and a half horse in the New York summer. Ditto for Kimberlite Pipe. Ought to stop smoking if he hopes to last. <g> I hope Patience shows up for Belmont and Valhol goes gets a "buzz" on somewhere else.
