Rande - on Star Wars....
I have a strange feling you were the guy in the middle of the middle row with that wide-eyed, dream-laden expression on your face, your popcorn all but forgotten in your lap. I was the kid sitting in the back row next to my father (he can't watch a movie from anywhere other than the back row....he sits in the "back row" of his house to watch TV). Couldn't see a thing in that packed house unless I stood on the chair, which I did for most of the movie because I couldn' sit down to control my absolute amazement at what I was watching. I had to sneak away at one point and go down to the front row to see if maybe it was possible to jump into the screen....I turned around to the audience and recognized that same look on everyone's face....belief, belief, wonder, awe....so I suppose you would have blended into this little world.
That theater was the best then, and if I can swing a quick visit to my family in Newport in the next few weeks, perhaps you will see a very tall man with his beautiful wife standing on the seats in the back row....looking like big kids.

Thanks again, Rande, for the great work you do. In reading all your posts, I expect that, while your stock talents are beyond description, you have even greater talents that we will never hear/see/experience on this thread.
God give you peace and be with you always.
Wes

Re your: I will not be visiting Vancouver, Denver or Dallas and would keep both hands on wallets in those cities.
Unfair and mean generalizations. Other than Dallas (never been there) the other two seemed great and remarkeably beautiful. I never had a problem with crime? I saw dangerous seediness in Washington DC, Atlantic City New Jersey, Istanbul Turkey, New Orleans, Dominican Republic, Mexico City, San Jose Costa Rica, Detroit.
Get my point? your occaisional experience somewhere is as irrelovant as mine and very unfair to those you influence. Pick any city any country and I'll relate a horror story to you but certainly not putting Denver and Vancouver in the light that they shouldn't travel there. I expect more from you.
