P, about a week ago, for 1 day, it gave a +8 and then dropped back to +6.
as for interest rated i agree, that the fed will not raise rates.

watching the friday night financial shows the consensus opinion was that there is no inflation in sight, therefore the fed has no reason to raise rates. the recent surge in the price of oil - already dropping - lead to a spike in the cpi which caused the panicky types to assume inflation was on the rise, the feds would raise rates and the market would crash so they sold. as our buddy Jay would say - it's just my opinion (interpretation)..i could be wrong

Probably they do one of those bias shifts and scare the markets first.

Watch gold and gold stocks during early summer, plus the seasonal shift on gas points to 1.50 a gal prices. For chicago subrurbia thats about 25 to 30 cents from here. These things will make the fed move. By July I think.

Also if the Long bond moves up past 6.25, could be interesting.
