change \WINNT to \WINNT2

Could one use NT Explorer to copy the WINNT directory to a WINNT2 directory on the same partition ..then modify the boot.ini? The result being two operating systems on the same drive..eliminating drive letter problems?

Don't know if this is pertinent to the current NT drive letter problem, but I'll post it anyway :)

On a few occasions when I have found myself booting to a second installation of NT, and the drive letters are all off due to the variety of reasons discussed, but NT still boots OK (sometimes it'll give many errors, usually the swap file is too small etc...) I do the following: Go to disk administrator and force a drive letter change for the volume you just booted to. It'll usually warn you that this is not recommended, but just do it anyway. Sometimes it can't change it immediately and has to do a reboot, but usually this will get my alternate NT install assigned the drive letter I want and has saved my bacon numerous times.
