Gibbons, anyone,

What is the quote.com address to report wierd data?

Specifically, does anyone still see any open interest on Harley (HDI) May options? Either q.c's data is wierded, or the market's having a problem with it.

Thanks,

Mike

Gibbons, I have a question on VWAP.

I see that the VWAP is calculated from the premarket beginning.
But occasionally I see that the price is way off the ticket price.

For example NETO, first ticket today (Form T) at 12 5/16 (9:21) but the VWAP shows 10.00, I noticed a VWAP which is way off the traded price very often. Any ideas?

Thank you

Gibbons, Time & Sales fixes are fantastic. Haven't been able to defeat 'em yet. Between these and the color coding, an entirely different world. Keep up the great work!

Thanks,

sf

Gibbons, I have a question about the times/sales screen::::

Sometimes the same ask or bid will appear a few times, or what looks like the same bid or ask. For example, say that there is a 6400 share at the ask of 34. In the time/sales screen, it will appear in dark grey (set to show an order at the ask). Then, a few other trades go thru, at other prices. Then, another dark grey stating 6400 @ 34. Then, a few other trades. Then, another dark grey stating 6400 @ 34.

On the Level II screen, only one of 6400 @ 34 appears on the ask, and no trades go thru at that price.

Why does it keep repeating on the time/sales? Are these new orders? Or something else?

Thanks in advance,
Debra

Gibbons,

The only complaints/suggestions I have about QCharts is that I wish they would simplify the alert system. I set mine fairly close as I watch several stocks. It takes so many clicks to change the alert settings, I'm really busy!

I wish there was an up or down toggle button on the initial alert window that could be preset to 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 etc. in the preference mode. As it is, the alert comes up, have to close that, go to the stock and right click, then reset the price, then go to the view alerts box and delete that alert. Too many steps!

Also, a zoom on the charts would be nice.

Other that that, I absolutely love QCharts!

TIA,

KS

I'm going to throw my myself into it with a few comments/questions about qcharts.
I'm a new user who was forced to abandon RealTick because it used way too much bandwidth to reliably work for more than a very few stocks (<5) over a 56k modem.
Qcharts obviously does something drastically different. I can watch the entire Nasdaq 100 and still have plenty of bandwidth left over. I'm assuming rather than sending every trade and every tick you sample down to every couple of seconds or so. Good tradeoff.

My comments focus pretty much around the charts. If there is anything you already do but I havent figured out, please let me know.
#1 thing I would like to see is a real time plot of the bid and/or ask (would love to see both on one chart), not just the last trade. There is a lot more info in the bid to a trader than the last trade. Would be cool to not have it downsample the chart to 1 minute too.
#2 is to have chart control features in ways that dont require using toolbars. The "symbol" and "interval" should be directly accessable for each chart either by clicking somewhere on the chart or with a right click. Right now there is no decent way to just change a chart from one symbol to another unless you can drag it from a table or you insist on having the ability to track the symbol in the toolbar turned off everywhere. Also would like to see easier zoom features.
Basically I consider toolbars a waste of very valuable screen space and having to pan your eyes over to the edge of the screen a distraction from where you are actually looking-- the chart. All toolbar functions should be accesable through fn keys, right click, or at worst pulldown menus.
I'm sure I'll have more as I get more experienced, but thats it for now. Thanks for listening.
Eric

Just switched to QCharts from TradeStation...

QCharts - beautiful implementation of intraday charting and intervals, a good selection of studies, real-time performance of QFeed tremendous, hotlists awesome - a great product that actually works as advertised, etc.

I've been waiting many years for the ultimate package, and it looks like QCharts is well on its way to being there. Here is my wish list (you may have integrated order execution already):

1. Alerts based on a set of technical conditions, for example, buy when price crosses above 50-day moving average

2. Trading system programming - the ability to test for certain conditions and then have buy and sell signals displayed on the charts

3. Back testing - the ability to test systems on a historical basis with theoretical profit and loss

4. Integrated order execution and the ability to feed orders from (2) directly into the order execution system

Thanks for such a great product.

Hi Gibbons..... Suggestion: Sometimes it would be nice to be able to park a small chart or time & sales sheet on top of a big quotesheet. Unfortunately, each time you access the quotesheet, the other stuff goes "behind" it. So, a "Stay on Top" setting for a window would be great!
