Mr Navarra said the price could fall to as little as $350. The group, which is backed by Loral and listed on Nasdaq, is planning a big marketing campaign.

Better crank up the handset production at those prices. Great news, but they need product. Satellite phones for $350 - at that price they'll fly off the shelves for novelty value alone.

Goodnews indeed, but not good enough.
Globalstar should be offering an INITIAL OFFER, to the first 50,000 clients, $350 per phone and 10 cents per minute for a 2 year contract.
I detect an air of over confidence in the Globalstar camp, and right now is the time to put the knife into Iridium and give it a twist. We do not want them jumping up off the floor flashing a sabre. As for ICO they should be sent scurrying back into their burrows like frightened rabbits searching for a new food source, too scared to come out until they know the way to some alternative pastures.
The INITIAL OFFER, would get a lot of people talking and that represents FREE advertising, this helps to corner the market and wipe out opposition.
Marketing is now the key to success.
John.
