General Dynamics purchase of Gulfstream is the end of an outstanding stock. I am happy that I was able to grab the stock at $27: low P/E, high growth, excellent business model. I would much rather have not seen the purchase of Gulfstream because not only is General Dynamics just another airline company, its stock will only do as well as another airline company. The only advantage that Gulfstream will gain is funding and research for a new breed of supersonic business jets. I had already sold my shares for college expenses so don't have to worry about it. This is one of my most admired companies; even above Ebay. (the only high quality internet stock out there) which has an astronomical pricetag (about 20 billion right now) for a company whose revenues are a little less than 50 million.
