for Canadian brokers some to look in to.. www.hsbcinvestdirect.com(fast for a bank...2 minute waiting times for orders to be sent online..) Cybertrader datek datek and cybertrader will not trade BB's I believe AB wately will trade BB's - but not 100% sure about canadian account..apllying there right now myself ciV

Hi Tony. What books have you read which were recommended here? I am going to put together a couple of recommendations for my brother. I am too lazy to read financial books. I do a lot of research online and have learned a lot by talking with other traders both online and at work. Try quotes.freerealtime.com for quotes. I use them and rtq.thomsoninvest.net as well as my free quotes at Datek (I still have 0.01 in my account), and NDB where I do all my trading currently. I don't have levelII. I plan to someday, but it is not high enough on my list today. Good Luck and welcome aboard! jimS
