George -

Since you have little to offer about USWB's prospects, you've resorted to wasting everybody's time sifting through history.

But, just to set the record straight, a couple of days later, Firmage resigned, at which time I closed my short, considered going long, and made the following post:

Well, this is certainly interesting news.

Rather than be led into the new millenium by Chief Klingon Firmage, USWeb / Disinvent has chosen to bring in a credible CEO from the consulting industry. After all, Firmage is busy figurin' out the cosmos with his Kairos cult (www.thewordistruth.org). When you have to choose between making money for your shareholders and discovering and revealing the secrets of the universe, naturally you can't be bothered by your shareholders.

All sarcasm aside, though, I do see this as a positive development for the company. I would not be too excited about buying into the current hoopla / short squeeze, but I will say that I think the probability of long term success has increased.

It really comes just in time for US Web, as the Kairos side-show would simply be too much for any serious money operation, with the possible exception of the New Millenium Ben 'N Jerry Quantum Vacuum Fund, managed by a committee of Klingon's from Planet Venicular in Galaxy 9.

Yours Truly,

Rick.
