A couple of other historical items of interest for anyone interested in the record - take a look through the posts if interested.

1) One of the fundamental underpinnings of the sell short thesis before Firmage left was that the company was a financial roll up play and a 28 year old hypester would be unable to integrate and operate it. what happened ? 28 year old hypester gone / short thesis blows up / time to move on.

2) You might also remember that I was very puzzled and critical about the idea of changing the company name to Reinvent. what happened ? company backtracked and didn't change the name.

Sorry to spoil your mindless bickering with facts taken in context and based on the record.

Rick.

P.S. I haven't heard any responses about why we should expect that the continuous heavy insider selling since the IPO should abate. Perhaps a few of our more vocal posters have a few insider shares they'd like to unload on an all too excited and believing public.

Whenever a two-bit stock broker uses the term "no-brainer", watch your wallet.

RE: “, a couple of days later, Firmage resigned, at which time I closed my short,”

Is that the truth? Then what about this?

Kevin –
…… As I currently have only a small short position in USWeb…...
rick.

That doesn't sound “closed” to me. At that time (one MONTH later) it was over $20, up 33% from the $15 figure. Check the FACTS here:
iqc.com

Then, the next day you wrote, “, this looks like a good short”
Message 6389787

Then you disappeared while it doubled (and more) and did not reappear until the next time it bottomed.

Rather than have the facts represented truly, you accuse me of, “wasting everybody's time sifting through history.”
I think recommending that people short a stock that is rocketing up is wasting peoples money and time.
I don't happen to think getting the facts straight is wasting time.
I would like to know your motives.
