Along a similar line, is there any way to amend a subject title once a new thread has been established?

There has been a new thread started with the title 'Paradise entertainment". I'd like to see the stock symbol (PDSE) added to the title line. As it is at present, a typical subject title search using only the stock symbol can not find this thread. I'd like to get that changed.

Hint to those who are starting new stock threads: Include the stock symbol somewhere on the title line. Otherwise, you are dooming the thread to perpetual obscurity and eventual extinction due to lack of participation.

The most current incarnation of new member Robin Dayne's
several attempts at starting a self-promotional thread
now appears as thread "Robin Dayne-Mastering Your
Emotions". Post #13 there says "the posts from previous
threads have been consolidated now under this thread".

It seems rather disengenuous to have selectively edited
from her three previous threads to form her latest one
and have it consist only of her own handpicked posts. In
the interest of honesty and fairness, I believe the
comments from her previous threads should be consolidated
IN THEIR ENTIRETY, not just edited to the liking of R.
Dayne.

I must say in my years of reading Silicon Investor I have
never been aware of new members having the ability to
have the responses they found undesirable just magically
be deleted from any threads. I would appreciate hearing
more about this policy of allowing people to edit
threads. I would also like to see the UNEDITED,
UNEXPURGATED contents of all of Robin Dayne's threads
reappear in their entirety. Perhaps they could be listed
consecutively at the beginning of the current thread.

Bob,

Witnessing the deletion of negative posts from Robin Dayne threads #2 and #3 -- in the name of "consolidation," yet -- leaves me marveling at how this was accomplished. Can you elaborate on the process she used to get this done?

Seems like Free Speech took a bit of a hit there, and I'd like to add my voice to the mounting chorus of protest.

Thanks,
Bud

Hi Bob, long time since we communicated. Relative to the question of elimination of threads with low activities. There are a number of unclear points of "procedure".

Who petitions SI for such elimination, anyone, or the thread "founder" only?

Can it be done to reduce "competition" to a leading thread on the same subject?

Is there a time of "inactivity" required to eliminate a low activity?

Are there sometimes issues of "muzzling" involved and how do you handle these?

SI threads often have "ardent" bulls and "ardent" bears arguing various points, elimination of now "silent" thread that had important information may impede reaccessing this information. There might even be issues relating to the first Amendment, but this being a "voluntary" medium, I do not know if and how these apply, I am sure you people have considered such implications, and if you have anything that could enlighten me on this subject, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Zeev

Mr. Bob.............

Zeev's questions per this recent post to you

Message 9851740

were prompted by my making him aware of your post
regarding this subject in a retort to him on the TSIG.com
thread.

Here is the context of his questions.

First my request for the request to you to remove inactive inconsequential threads

Message 9847317

Second, his response to that request

Message 9847806

And my response to his response
making him aware of your written position,
which I would not have even suggested any position of my own
had I not been aware of your post.

Message 9850100

Here is the subject header, so that you can review the threads in question (some with only a few posts) and hopefully surmise the reasons for my request which I haven't officially made to you yet..

techstocks.com

Plus here is the current business model of the company.
