Leroyt, the answer is simple. IMHO, it is volume and greed. OK, look at it this way: The market makers make their money on the spread. Lets say that there is a .2c spread, and lets also say that the stock is selling for 10c per share and that the average daily volume is 10M shares. Not a bad day for a MM, but when the stock goes down to 5c per share with the same spread, the same amount of money coming into the market will result in 20M shares. Now, in reality, the volume will not double when the price dives in half, but they are betting that it will increase because penny stock investors have the ability to buy more shares for the same money. Hence, the MMs stand to make a greater profit with a lesser price.

Now, consider that if you were a MM and wanted the price to go down, but you have the SEC to deal with if you simply force it down. How would you do it?

Exactly ... you would get someone to come online and induce sales from the scared little guys who may well be betting the farm. Then, you sell it to the staunch longs and begin the cycle again.

Holy smokes Leroy,

For a guy with your pedigree, you certainly are easily confused.

You're obviously juxtaposing me with your totally-fixated buddy "..BuckO..", who undoubtedly spends his spare time practicing for the Guinness truck tire popping record....

If MVEE goes up - which I most certainly hope it does - my rewards increase at the same rate as everybody else's. And, like yourself - I doubt some piddley stock-touting PR outfit, working for penny stocks, could ever muster the likes of our professional hourly billing rates.

My, my, my, my...!

Certainly are a lot of people around here whom approach a state of terminal-nervous when anybody asks, "...who's minding the money..."!!

Makes one wonder if they shouldn't be wearing a hat - while standing out there by those mailboxes on Rural Route No. 0 - waiting for their bonus-grams. The sun will do funny things to a fellow who is muddling along under financial stress.

I sure hope they drink lots of fluids - we'd hate to lose their entertaining dissertations! That "..Santa Claus.." scenario a week ago was a giggle a minute..!!

For the benefit of new investors to this thread, do some serious DD and invest proportionally to the degree of risk you can tolerate. MVEE has a lot of promise, and potentially considerable rewards - but, it's obviously not a Blue Chip, dividend-paying granny-stock.

Regards,

John :-)

ps: Rah Rah Zis Boom Bah...Go MVEE..!! (tee hee)

pps: Old "..JeffO.." here, is the masterful "paltel" over on Raging Bull - for those of you who don't have a program.
