I will have a long and a short at close to the starting point where the *move* will commence.

I will try to calculate the peak or the valley (depending upon the direction)of the move *after* it starts using my rate of change analysis.

I will then close out the profitable position and await the rebound in the other direction .... closing that position when the rate of change analysis tells me that it is slowing ....

Hopefully, the profit will be more than I could obtain by simply using the forecasted bottom or top to initiate a position alone.

I do realize that there will probably be a loss on the second position close out, but I can envision no sure fire method to get in on the move when it starts for the market will move faster than my ability to buy in or sell short.
