Ten,

Maybe you forgot about those huge chips to the side of Xeon's processor core called full-speed cache, which obviously doesn't come for free. Maybe you also forgot about electricals to make sure Xeon runs stable in a 4-way multiprocessing configuration, or the cost in making the Xeon daughtercard which has to support the full-speed L2 cache interface.

OK, throw in another $200. Where does the other $1800 come from?
