A deflationary depression would pull the plug on the real estate bubble. If we get a crisis of confidence in the currencies of the world that would do it as well.

I feel that Y2K is going to create the evil twin of the productivity gains and embracement of technology that has occurred in the past 10 years. And Y2K failures and dislocations will spur on Lawsuits that could take years to settle. These up in the air suits can potentially
swing the US markets back and forth in an unpredictable fashion.
