Yes. Timing is crucial. The NW is definitely the rhody capitol. I used to be able to list all the native specie rhodies in america (incl azaleas), their forms, and where they grow. And knew about which rhodies are taken into the East and South. But there is no comparison to Or/Wa/B.C.

None. Nadazippo. With parts of England, and the remainder of what is unslaughtered in Asia, this is the best of the world. El periodo. It's potentially the floral capitol of the planet. I admit South Africa's hot. Hawaii is insignificant. Aussie's awesome. And the cool part, rhodies ~ they're nice flowers, with the largest variety of flower and form of any plant group on earth.

Unbelievably diverse. The average person sees little of this diversity; our culture is still young to them.

THe dogwoods are being killed by a fungus???????
This is so upsetting. Nothing is allowed to change in Virginia. It has to remain as I left it, like the family home, or one's parents. No change allowed. DOgwoods don't do well here. We may not even have them, now that I think about it.
