Actually I thought they mentioned that they expect yearly revenues at $800M but that may have been the company saying that recent analyst earnings models they've seen have estimated their revenues at that level. Frankly it surprised me since I had been predicting much less growth:

siliconinvestor.com.

I guess my estimate of 333K Voodoo3 boards in the first 3 weeks of April was significantly understated. Going back to my very rough model, for STB to achieve revenues of $90M ($25M more than I expected), it would have had to sell an additional 208K Voodoo3 boards. Now in the CC, 3dfx mentioned that they had produced 581K boards in April so it is entirely possible that STB actually shipped 541K boards before the end of April. Less us hope that the channel is not filled yet. Supposedly, many foreign distribution channels are still waiting for product as they were second fiddle to the US channels due to size and buildup to E3.

BTW I forgot to mention as a possibility for today's bounce the most obvious reason - the Fed left interest rates alone!
