Mr. James Speros reports
Marie Russell has been appointed to the position of vice-president of channel
sales and marketing. In her new role, Ms. Russell will have complete responsibility
for continued development and expansion of Sideware's Partner Program for
value added resellers and systems integrators in North America.
According to Sideware's president and chief operating officer, James L. Speros,
"The e-commerce explosion has created an exciting environment in which to do
business and Sideware will continue to leverage more partnerships to be
successful. That is why we have asked Ms. Russell to join our team. She has been
recognized in the channel development sector as one of the sharpest and most
creative minds in the industry. She knows how to get results, which with her
experience will translate into the building of a solid and dynamic channel program
that will include IBM and Sun Microsystems. We are very pleased to have her on
our team - she will make our Partners Program successful."
With 15 years of channel experience, Ms. Russell joins Sideware from Newbridge
Networks, where she served as assistant vice-president of partner sales and
marketing, and most recently as assistant vice-president of channel marketing for
the Americas. Ms. Russell was instrumental in the development, execution and
expansion of Newbridge's Select Partner Program over the past six years. As part
of that process Ms. Russell built a successful sales and marketing team around the
Partner Program.
Ms. Russell also served for three years at Microdyne Corporation as channel
marketing manager, where she developed and implemented marketing programs
for Microdyne's distributors and resellers. Before joining Microdyne, Ms. Russell
spent several years as marketing manager at MEI, a Wang and IBM value added
reseller. Ms. Russell began her career at Wang Laboratories as a sales
representative working with value added resellers.
