Several months ago there was a news release from a private Texas-based company regarding a single-chip TV tuner and output stage, there's a chance that the 3500 is using it as there doesn't seem to be a traditional one in the the product shots, ie no big shielded box full of analog stuff.

Did anyone mention advertising comments from the conference call ? Apparently the run-rate on ads is similar to what has always been spent, just 3dfx-centric. No more vendor co-op programs, channel price protection, just concentrated results-oriented stuff.

These guys learn fast ! Obviously no lack of communication with the street, they nailed the estimates. Lame trade shows ? Not anymore, E3 was 3dfx. This just may be a verry good year !

Scott, it was the 3500 that got delayed. 3dfx could have produced a 3500 by using the 3000 PCB and taking a couple of bucks off the price if they really wanted. The point is, I think they chose not to.
