LinxConnect(TM) Simplifies and Integrates Communications for
Mobile Business Professionals

NEWTON, Mass., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Linx Communications, a leading
Communications Service Provider, announced today the launch of its unified
communications services in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, further
expanding the company's local reach across the West Coast. LinxConnect
(formerly Linx Universal Number) is an innovative communications service that
simplifies and streamlines voice, mobile, fax, and other communications
services for on-the-go business professionals, saving time and money, and
eliminating the frustrations associated with "telephone tag". Linx services
are already available in the San Francisco Bay area, as well as the northeast
and mid-Atlantic regions including Boston, Washington, DC, and New York.
"Los Angeles is an excellent market for our services with its high
concentration of business travelers and mobile professionals who need to stay
in touch with clients and colleagues in real time," said Joe Gately, president
and CEO of Linx. "We enable businesspeople to tie all of their disparate
communications devices together into a single local number. They can better
manage their phone, cellular and fax messages, and ultimately, be more
responsive. LinxConnect is a powerful business productivity-enhancing
solution."
LinxConnect is an evolutionary service that integrates voice, fax, and
other communications services through local access numbers, in multiple cities
nationwide. While Linx services can be used by customers anywhere through
toll free numbers, the availability of local number access in multiple cities
makes it significantly more cost effective than other unified services that
require 800 number calls.
With only one, local number as the point of access, and with its call
announcement capabilities, LinxConnect makes it easy for important clients and
contacts to stay in touch while allowing the user to better prioritize their
calls and messages. When a caller dials a user's LinxConnect number, the
system rings up to three user-specified numbers simultaneously, and announces
the caller. The user can choose to take the call, send it to voice mail, or
even transfer the call to a colleague.
Linx services are ideal for corporations, telecommuters and mobile
professionals in a variety of industries, including financial services,
banking, technology, healthcare, manufacturing and many other industries that
require a more simplified and manageable approach to communications services.
Linx corporate customers include 3Com, America Online, Apple Computer, Compaq,
Coopers & Lybrand, EMC, and Ernst & Young.

National Linx Network
Linx is installing state-of-the-art switches in major cities throughout
the country, allowing the company to provide access to calls and messages via
the phone or Internet through local numbers. Through its partnership with
Focal Communications of Chicago, Ill., Linx is co-locating its switching
equipment in Focal facilities across the United States as it deploys
LinxConnect nationwide.
Linx plans to expand its local service to 15 additional major metropolitan
markets in 1999, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Philadelphia and
Seattle. In addition to LinxConnect, Linx provides a range of other
communications services. Linx services are subscription-based, and start at
$12.95 per month.

jack, is that just where you place your orders, or do you actually work closely with a sales person. do you think you would have chosen new products from cisco directly from the net? see what i'm getting at? i seriously doubt the net site PRODUCES 70% of their revenue.
