Any more speculation on a split announcement tomorrow? Anyone know for sure if they've used shareholder meeting as a forum for such announcements in the past?

Garry, What's up with volume over the past couple of weeks ? I don't remember the last time WCOM traded ~5M shares. Ahmad

My take on the article- T's current and future int'l network model is to "partner" with int'l players. The past twenty years have made it clear that this model is weak. T wants to essentially "share" resources with BT. Make no mistake the combined resources of BT sand T are significant, but given that neither will own the network end to end will hurt them in efficiencies, quality and ultimately revenues and earnings Sprint has been fooling around with France Telecom and Deutch Telecom for 10 years and have proven this model sucks. Fact of the matter is, these int'l PTTs (Postal Telephone and Telegraph) that T wants to partner with are circuit switching self serving non-competitive dinosaurs like T. They are living in 1965 where Sidgmore is in 2005. Greed is good. Open markets and capitalism will crush these int'l PTT monopolies. End to end local to global to local networks (WCOM) will be the model of the future. Caxton
