Edamo,

You wrote

"i believe we are entering an era of consolidation, ...it will all evolve in the tech sectors around data and voice communication..."

which I tend to agree. The question, regarding DEll is: Where may Dell find its postion there? Any idea, that builds on Dell's strenght?

<<but it is looking as not pure industry consolidation as in the past...it will all evolve in the tech sectors around data and voice communication...the old fashion telephone provider is done.>>

edamo: Watch for more aggressive alliances between DELL, the RBOCs, Telecom equip firms, and the AOL's of the world. DELL may create their own branded ISP for corporate customers and for consumers. IMO, they could roll out a whole range of services over the network (like internet telephony) and wrap in e-commerce opportunities. Broadband will be HUGE and I expect DELL to capitalize on the movement. The virtual integration model will serve DELL well as they continue to collaborate to compete. These are just some thoughts I have. Holding DELL and sleeping well <GG>...

I enjoy reading your comments.

Best Regards,

Scott

<<To counter the pressures in the PC market, Dell is looking at ways to capture revenue after the sale of the computer. One method Dell is considering is a move
to the cell-phone strategy where the cost of the PC is subsidized by selling a contract for Dell-branded Internet service, wrote Merrill Lynch analyst Steve
Milunovich in a report today. >>

edamo: This complements / supports what I have just posted....!!
